   knowledgemonger, I respectfully disagree; once more: The only energy gain the whole orbiting system can have is the act of throwing out the test mass. It comes (e.g.) from your muscles. When the rope is stretched, the angular momentum\energy of the system remains constant, because L=Jw, W=J²w/2 and J is defined as the sum\integral of mr². NASA, did already a tethered satellite experiment (STS-75). Their goal was to gain energy from earth’s magnetic field induced in a conductor.

   @debrainwasher Consider what happens after you have let out a lot of rope and then let go. The rope ran from a craft that was lagging in the outer path to the craft that was leading in the inner path. There was a component in that force that points directly at the black hole. This force is now gone. The body in the inner orbit will fall to a lower orbit and the one in the outer orbit will move up to a larger one or escape all together.

   @debrainwasher The rope is pulling the space craft forwards in the direction of orbit. This means it is adding energy to the craft. The craft moves out to a larger orbit as the weight moves in to a smaller one. No rocket fire is needed. The center of mass of the system remains in the same orbit as you started. You move out while the mass moves in.

   Im sorry but some people on here are in my guess and opinion probubly hired by the government to write outlandish bullshit to discredit this invention obviously becuase if we buy one then we are off the grid of electricity and the hydro companys no longer make money. I imagine this comment to be flagged as spam by the same idiots that are trying to say this invention is bogus. It is not it is a more refined, cleaner and efficient free energy device then some of the ones i have seen.

   @troubledseed You need to google on the scammers involved in this claimed machine. It simply doesn’t work. Nonsense like this helps to keep us dependent on oil. Instead of looking for real answers people will be cheated out of their time and money by folks like these scammers.

   If you want help get people off the grid welcome aboard. I suggest you go study up on physics or chemistry. You have the time to build up the base of knowledge you will need. It will be hard work.

    @knowledgemonger I would like to see Energy Sec Chu assign one or a couple of histop scientists to fully investigate this alleged invention to see if it’s valid or not. I’m not quick as you to dismiss it putright!

    LUTEC is a fraud. I have tried contacting them seberal times, over the last 18 months, trying to buy a functional unit. I have never received even an email response. I can’t imagine why….

    @fletch92131 I have read up on the folks involved. They are known scammers. I have looked at their claims and they are bogus. This is not the only video of these guys and they have a web site. It doesn’t take a lot of looking to find claims that can be disproved with just a little knowledge of physics and electronics.

    why do you need any input at all? we all know magnets will push with or without an outside source. Should be 100 percent output all the time if they design it correctly.

    @Paxmax I don’t think these guys are working for big oil even though they are helping them to remain in control of the energy supply. The deception is being done in an effort to scan people of their money. The help to the oil companies by discouraging people from looking for real answers is just a side effect.

    @jrmhrpr There is no way that what they claim can be true. There is no way to create energy just by moving some magnets about. Simple logic can prove that what they are claiming is false.
    Remember that the force between two magnetic poles only depends on their current positions. The history doesn’t matter. This means that you can use magnets sort of like springs to store energy and give it back but you can never end up with some extra energy.
